According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), On Saturday, Two million more doses of China’s Sinovac vaccine reached Pakistan in Islamabad. A spokesperson for the NDMA tweeted “Another consignment of 2 Million doses of “#SinoVac” Vaccine arrived in Pakistan on 21 August.


According to the sources, The vaccine came to Islamabad onboard a Pakistan International Airport (PIA) flight and has shifted to an EPI warehouse in the city. Two million more doses of the Chinese vaccine are expected to reach tomorrow in Islamabad.


On the other hand, the health authorities aim to procure as several as thirty million doses of various vaccines this month, twenty million of them have now been flown in. He added, the NDMA spokesperson had stated that more doses of Sinovac and Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines reached Pakistan on August 14 and 15. Pakistan got two million more doses of Sinopharm and a consignment of four million doses of the Sinovac vaccine on August 16.
