China is ready to empower the CPEC projects with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The-under construction projects will now be inspected by AI-powered robots.
Further details state that AI-powered robots will be positioned at Matiari-Lahore 660-KV DC Power Transmission and Transformation Project in the start. A total of 20 robots will be inspecting the first high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line. HVDC transmission line is one of the projects of CPEC developed with the collaborative efforts of China and Pakistan.
The successful testing process of these robots has been performed at the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) last week. The building and development of these AI-powered robots have been started in 2012 for the inspection of Valve Hall, the building having valves of static inverters of an HVDC plant.
In this regard, relevant sources have informed that the regular inspection of the Matiari-Lahore project is indispensable to make sure the normal functionality of key components.
The conventional methods of inspection have many issues for instance poor detection quality. High labor intensity, low work efficiency, etc. To avoid such issues, China introduced AI-powered robots. The inspection duties will now be performed efficiently and reliably.
In order to make the work processes efficient, we need to adapt the tech-based assistance. With this initiative, China has set an example and we should follow the lead, not only for the CPEC projects development but for the betterment of our country in every field.
