Foodpanda Pakistan, Pakistan’s biggest delivery platform, has vouched to help the administration action of planting millions of trees in Pakistan. In collaboration with administrator Karachi and DG Parks KMC, the initial stage of the project took place in Polo Ground, Karachi where Foodpanda planted more than 10,000 trees. Intending to support environmental sustainability and improvement, this is the beginning of many such plantation initiatives that will take place in each section in different centers in Pakistan. Foodpanda bikers, vendor associates, and Home cooks along with Foodpanda workers and administration executives planted 5 types of trees.
Night Blooming Jasmine, Bougainvillea Glabra, Arabian Jasmine, lilac Tasselflower & Curry leaf were with the several trees planted. Addressing the occasion, Commercial Director Foodpanda Pakistan, Muntaqa Peracha, stated, Environmental sustainability is one of our focuses and we firmly consider that tomorrow is green breathing through sustainability and renewable power. In the first stage of this action, we are concentrating on tree plantation in the land while actively searching for fuel-efficient and alternative delivery programs and recyclable packaging.
Mr. Navid Ahmed Shaikh, Commissioner Karachi acknowledged the action and conferred assistance for such ventures.
