The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood, has declared that an inter-provincial education ministers’ conference has been summoned on March 24, to choose about the reopening or further closing of educational organizations in the country amid the increasing number of COVID-19 crises. The Education Minister declared the announcement on Twitter, stating: All education/health representatives will attend, March 24, to decide on the opening or further closing of educational institutes.

He remarked that the conference has been announced at the NCOC, where health officials from all six official units will notify the conference considering the pandemic status in their particular territories to help the NCOC and the institutional organizations to make an informed judgment. The federal government had shut institutions in various parts of Punjab, KP, and Islamabad for two weeks from March 15 due to an abrupt spike in the UK-strain of COVID-19. The alternative, according to experts, is much more harmful and increases quicker than the initial one.
