Karachi: GroupM promoted Amna Khatib to the C-suite as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO).
Amna is the second female member of the C-suite at GroupM Pakistan, with Kiran Khan Ali currently working the media venture firm as its chief strategy officer. Promotion appeared within days of media statements about promotions of Fatima Hyder at Z2C Limited, and Benish Irshad at Starcom. Amna said, while the promotion makes no difference to her job description, she will be serving to support the bar at GroupM by building the capacity and capability of the media investment firm in order to produce world-class solutions for its customers.
Amna will work on schemes retail connect, e-commerce, and concerning data. She added that her position will be to support steer the client’s program for digital, by giving them the products, thought leadership, and right tools. In addition, Amna and her partners supported various advertisers’ development to e-commerce in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, to launching a food commerce project while serving with many e-commerce partner projects.
In Pakistan Amna began the GroupM digital practice, transforming it into an advance digital solution in the nation since its beginning in 2014; led team setup, business acquisition, and capability development. Amna Khatib said that they must think long term and stay ahead of the curve by producing the best digital assets and platforms.
