Prime Minister Imran Khan is on the top of the list of International leaders whose efficient strategy and uphill struggle resulted in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic. The list has been issued by a UK-based magazine “The Asian World” that features news monthly.

Imran Khan’s approach towards handling the situation during the pandemic was exceptional and the statistics verified it. For his efforts and prompt situation handling, he has been acknowledged as the best politician.

During the time when the world was going for blanket lockdown, Our PM looked ahead and adopted the smart lockdown plan to ensure the well-being of the economy as well as the health of the citizens.

Tackling the pandemic situation was not an easy job for any leader of the world, but for Imran Khan, it was a one-step-ahead complicated task. He had to make sure that the people are staying safe and healthy while looking after 5 million impoverished people who earn on daily basis to provide bread and butter to their families.

PM Imran Khan announced a relief fund of multibillion dollars for poverty-stricken people to reduce the impact of lockdown. 20 million families received a sum of Rs. 12000 each. In addition to that, he announced relief for SMEs, laborers, daily wage workers, and those who suffered due to employment loss during the emergency enactment.

Being a Prime Minister, he also had to think about the economic well-being of the country. As a developing country, shutting down would have resulted in economic destruction. Smart lockdown proved to be the best strategy to identify the COVID-19 hotspots and sealing merely those areas, not the whole country. This strategy produced effective results as we can see that the spread of coronavirus has been reduced drastically.

The list of 10 best international politicians also included the PM’s Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis, Syed Zulfi Bukhari, as well. His efforts of initiating special flights to bring thousands of Pakistanis back home were tremendous.
