On March 23 (today), Pakistanis are commemorating Pakistan Day with a strong commitment to transforming the country into a truly Islamic and welfare state, as Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah envisioned. On this day in 1940, the historic Lahore Resolution was passed, laying the groundwork for the accomplishment of the objective of a separate nation for Muslims in South Asia.
